Page Hoeper Offers Government Procurement Expertise To Benefit Clients
McLean, Virginia (April 14, 2004) - (), the strategic, management and financial solutions provider for emerging, middle market and technology companies, today announced that Paul J. "Page" Hoeper will bring his considerable expertise in the defense industry to its Board of Advisors. Mr. Hoeper has more than 20 years of defense-related experience serving in senior Department of Defense positions and as a defense contractor; and, prior to that, a successful merchant banker.

Mr. Hoeper has received numerous honors for his exemplary service to his country. His first appointment was as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for International and Commercial Programs, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition and Technology from 1996-1998. He was sworn in as Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology in 1998, serving as the senior Army Acquisition Executive and Science Advisor to the Secretary. He was responsible for overseeing $17.5 billion in research, development, test, evaluation and acquisition programs. He has been honored for his service in the Pentagon with a number of awards including the Department of the Army Decoration for Distinguished Civilian Service, Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service and the President's Award "Biddle Medal" for contributions to the Association of the U.S. Army.

Prior to his DoD appointments, Mr. Hoeper was a consultant to the Defense Science Board Task Force on Acquisition Reform, President of Fortune Financial and Proprietor of Northshore Consultants where he advised private companies on technology, economic, policy and defense issues. He also was a faculty member of Stanford Law School and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California in the mid-1980s through mid-1990s. He earned a B.S.E. in Basic Engineering from Princeton University and received his M.A.T. in mathematics from Harvard University.

Mr. Hoeper is currently Chairman of the Board of Versar, Inc., and RAE, Inc. He is also on the Board of Advisors of the National Contract Managers Association; Corporate Director of Rockwell Scientific Company and VT Systems, Inc.; and, serves on the Board of Managers of DynPort Vaccine company, where he chairs its Government Security Committee. Mr. Hoeper recently assumed the position of Trustee of OnPoint Technologies, Inc., a Congressionally-established venture capital fund tasked to discover and fund companies that develop innovative mobile power and energy technologies for the DoD.
